Gear Detection Dataset

The current industrial sector faces significant challenges in quality control, particularly in the detection and inspection of mechanical components like gears. Existing solutions often rely on manual inspection, which is time-consuming and prone to human error. This dataset aims to address the need for an automated and efficient method for gear detection, facilitating the quality assurance process. The dataset includes images captured under diverse lighting conditions and from various angles, ensuring comprehensive coverage of gear types. Data is collected using high-resolution cameras in a controlled environment, followed by a multi-stage quality control process involving expert reviews. The images are stored in JPEG format, organized into directories based on gear categories. Additionally, quality control measures include multiple rounds of annotation and consistency checks to ensure high accuracy.
