Garden Flower Butterfly Flower (Japanese Iris) Image Recognition Dataset

Currently, the demand for precise identification and management of plant species in agriculture and forestry is increasing. However, traditional manual identification is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive but also prone to errors when there are many plant species. Existing solutions mostly rely on manual annotation, which has limitations of low recognition efficiency and insufficient accuracy. This dataset is dedicated to solving image classification problems in precise plant identification, especially for the widely used Japanese iris in horticulture. Data collection is performed with high-resolution cameras under standard lighting conditions, with collection environments including multiple scenes such as greenhouses and natural conditions. Quality control includes multiple rounds of annotation and expert consensus review, with the annotation team consisting of 20 professional botanical researchers. The data is stored in JPG format after cropping, standardization, and denoising, and archived into structured directories according to plant species.
