Brief Introduction

Many existing solutions lack the ability to effectively identify wear and failure modes in rotating components, leading to costly downtimes and failures. This dataset aims to address these technical issues by providing a comprehensive collection of images capturing various states of shaft seals and their wear conditions. The data is collected using high-resolution cameras in controlled environments, where we ensure optimal lighting and angles. Quality control measures include multiple rounds of annotation, consistency checks among annotators, and expert reviews to confirm the accuracy of labels. The images are stored in JPG format, organized systematically for easy access and analysis.
